MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING
TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL
May 19, 1964
Meeting called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Mayor Sheridan.
Present: Sheridan, Klingelhofer, Doney, Mack.
Absent: Coco
~lso Present: Attorney Rourke, Wheelock, Brook, Sissel,
Hilton~ Williamson.
Moved by Doney, seconded by Mack that the Council CANVASS OF
commende the canvass of ballots of May 12th Special BALLOTS
Election. Carried.
Mayor called recess for clerk to obtain Tally Sheets E. HAWORTH
and Council to interview Mr. Edward E. Haworth, applicant INTERVIEW
for position of Planning Advisor.
Meeting reconvened at 8:10 P.M.
Moved by MaSk, seconded by Klingelhofer that Edward E. E. HAWORTH
Haworth be hired as Planning Advisor for the City of HIRED AS
Tustin, effective June 8, 1964, at a starting salary PLANNING
of $755-00 to serve at the pleasure of the Council. ADVISOR
Carried.
Canvass of Ballots held at 8:15 P.M.

Correspondence read from firm of Rutan & Tucker, Attorneys RUTAN &
at Law, regarding representing the City in pending litigation. TUCKER
Those present with comments were:

Moved by Doney, seconded by Mack that Mr. Rourke and
Mr. Sheridan be asked to contact Rutan & Tucker for
approximate overall cost of litigation trial and report
at a 9 AM adjourned meeting, May 20, 1964.
Moved by Doney, seconded by Klingelhofer, that the £~rm CHAMBER MIX
of Chamber Mix ~oncrete, Inc. be awarded contract for AWARDED
slurry seal on First and "D" Streets, at a cost not to CONTRACT FOR
exceed $3,324.30. Carried· SLURRY SEAL
Moved by Doney, seconded by Klingelhofer, that Clerkbe
authorized and directed to return Bidders' Bonds or Cashiers'
Checks to the three unsuccessful bidders. Carried.
Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Mack that Resolution No. RESOL .718
718, declaring results of the May 12th Special Election b8 READ BY
read by title only. Carried unanimously. TITLE ONLY
Moved by Mack, seconded by Klingelhofer that Resolution NO. RESOL. 718
718 be passed and adopted. Carried by roll call Ayes: PASSED AND
Sheridan, Klingelhofer, Doney, Mack, Noes: None. Absent: ADOPTED
COCO.
Moved by Doney, seconded by Kllngelhofer that meeting be MEETING
adjourned to 9 A.M. May 20th in the Old Council Chambers, ADJOURNED

in defense of Initiative Ordinance. Carried.
