RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, at their regular meeting of November 6, 1989, authorize the
following:
1. Solicitation of bids for a utility vehicle to be assigned to Community
Development
2. Transfer of funds in the amount of $7,000.00 from the General Fund to
support the purchase of said vehicle
BACKGROUND:
The original, budget submitted for Fiscal Year 1989-90 provided $14,000.00 for
one utility vehicle to be shared between Community Development and the Public
Works Department. Subsequently, the position in the Public Works Department was
deleted together with. the $7,000.00 requested in support of the vehicle. Since the
estimated cost of the vehicle is $14,000.00 , an additional $7,000.00
appropriation is needed to proceed with the purchase.
