(SAVI) k QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENT (FILE #1960) RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council at their meeting of November 20, 1989 authorize the Mayor to execute a quitclaim deed to Clan Properties, a general partnership, for a SAVI easement at 14841 Yorba Street. BACKGROUND: Several years ago, the City acquired all of the easement rights of the Santa Ana Valley Irrigation Company (SAVI) within the City limits and its sphere of influence. Several of these easements have been utilized for drains, water easements, etc. by the City. Previous easements that were deemed not to be utilized by the City have already been quitclaimed to the property owners at their request subject to a transfer' fee of $90.00 per-document. DISCUSSION: Clan .Properties has requested the City to quitclaim the SAVI easement rights as it relates to their property ,at 14841 Yorba Street. Staff has investigated this request and has determined that the City will have no future need for this particular easement.
