DISCUSSION
JWA - At their meeting on November 8, 1989 the County Airport
Commission reviewed the proposed Phase 2 Access Plan. At that
meeting, staff presented the City's position that a maXimum Single
Event Noise Exposure Level (SENEL) be established at the M5
permanent noise monitoring station to mitigate potential noise
impacts resulting from increased operations at JWA. The Airport
Commission did not agree with the City's request and recommended
the Phase 2 Access Plan to the Board of Supervisors as proposed by
County Airport staff. On November 14th the Board of Supervisors
reviewed and approved the Phase 2 Access Plan as recommended by the
Airport Commission.
