Carried. BIDS * FIRST City Clerk reported that no bids had been received for the & 'D' STS. imp rovement of First and "D" Streets. Moved by Mack, secondedby Humeston that contract for THIRD · SIXTH improvement of Third Street, Sixth Street and Pasadena PASADENA be accepted as completed, for the amount of $15,136.05. Carried. Moved by Mack, seconded by Klingelhofer that the attorney be authorized to draft a Resolution transferring $11,620.15 TRANS. FUNDS from Undistributed Reserve to Street Department. Carried unanimously. Street Superintendent B. Wheelock recommended that Mr. F. BROOKS Fred V. Brook be employed as Supervising Building Inspector at a starting salary of $693.00 per month. Moved by Mack, seconded by Humeston that recommendations of Street Supt. be accepted and Mr. Brook be employedas ~ recommended to serve at the pleasure of the Council. Carried. Moved by Humeston, seconded by Mack that the Street Superin- NEWPORT SO. tendent notify the County Road Department that the Tustin OF FREEWAY City Councj~-C2A~s with County on proposed decrease in width of Newport Avenue south of Freeway on ramp at ~ycamore Street to the railroad tracks, from 100' to 80' right of way. Carried. BLDG. DEPT. Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Mack that the purchase TYPEWRITER of a Smith-Cerona typewriter at $409.50 plus tax be approved. Carried. TIME Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Hameston that the Clerk DEPOSITS direct Treasurer to invest excess funds in Time Deposits. Carried. Moved by Mack, seconded by Klingelhofer that bid from George Dunton Ford be approved as recommended. Carried. Moved by Humeston, seconded by Mack that Mr. Remland be reimbursed $20.00 expenses incurred attending Condominium Conference in Los Angeles. Cariied. Moved by Mack, seconded by Klingelhofer that Ordinance No. 0rd. 240 240, rezoning the property of C. Plum from ~U" to C-1 be read read by title only. Carried unanimously. Moved by Humeston, seconded by Mack that recommendations of ZC 62-111 Planning Commission on ZC application 62-111 be approved with building lines as shown on-Exhibit "A'! of ~lanning Commission Resolution No. 596 and attorney to d~aft ordinance for said zoning. Carried by .roll call - all Councilmen present veting Aye. Mr. Humeston requested.that report~of committee regarding Planning Planning 6omission applications-be deferred to nest regular Applications meeting. Moved by Maek, seconded by-Humeston that clerk be directed . to write all Planning Commissioners reminding them of their duties and responsibilities.- Carried. Mr. E. McKown present. ed a preposed.reselution requesting that all Planning Commissien.members be appointed by resolution, lafter a notieed publicshearing. Moved by Klingelhofer,-seconded by~Humeston that a resolution be drawn by the City,Attorney as.presented.by the Citizens' Committee with the deletion of-Paragraph 2 and the addition of words "upon notice"-ia paragraph ~3. Carried by roll call, all councilmen. present -voting Aye '- Mr. F. Colgan reques%ed decision- on referendum petitions. Referendum Mr. Rourke reported there was ~o~aetion neeessary by the , Council as petitions did not constitute a valid referendum. A five minute recess~was called as. requested by Mr. J. Erickson, attorney- for the Citizens ' Committee. Meeting reconvened at 9:45.P.M. Mr. F. Colgan requested continuance of-an action regarding . petitions to the next meeting. Moved by Mack, seconded by-Ktingelhofer that Resolution No. Fourth & 6?7, declaring that proceedings have~been initiated by the Newport ~ity Council to Annex certain uninhabited-territitory Resolution designated nFourth a~d-Newport*Annes., to the City of TustinI' and giving notice of* the- propoeed annexation, be road by title only.. Carried. unanimously~ Moved by Mack, seconded by Ktingelhofer that Resolution No. 677 be passed and adopted.~ Carried by roll call - . Ayes: Sheridan, Humeston~ Mack, Eli~gelhofer; Absent: Doney. - Moved by Klingelhofer,-seconded by Humesten that Camp Camp Fire Fire Girls', request to-hold ~und. raising drive from January Girls. 17th through February ~,. 1964,-be granted. Carried. Moved by Mack, seconded by, Ktingelhofer that request ~ Boston Boston .Bull, 420 E~ First S~reet.-for. a, Dance Permit be re~erred to Bull the Police and Fire Departments for check, and report at next regular meeting~ -Carried-. Moved by Klinge~lhofer,~ seconded by Mack that the Santiago Girl Scout Council be granted pe~mission~ to conduct annual Girl Sc. Girl Scout Calendar sate' f~om ~ovembe~ 2 ~hrough November 16th Carried. Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Mack that correspondence be received and filed. Carried. Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Humeston that County Road Department be notified of this Council' s building 1Lne decision and that the City i~s not going to pursue the widening of NewOort Avenue on the side of~So. Pacific Railread tracks at this time. Carried. Moved by Mack, seconded by Klingelhofer that bills to the amount of $9.964,21 be paid. Carried.
