Conduct the public hearing and take testimony from citizens and property owners wishing to speak. . Adopt resolution ordering annexation of additional territory to the District and confirming annual 1988-89 fiscal year levy of assessments. BACKGROUND: The Engineer's Report, prepared by BSI Consultants, Inc., has been filed with the City Clerk. A total of 18 parcels are proposed for annexation tm e. he District, most of which are in Tustin Ranch, north of Irvine Boulevard. the recommended 1988-89 Fiscal Year assessments are shown below: Street Lightinq Landscaping Single Family Unit Condo/Apartment Unit Commercial Acre Undeveloped Acre $14.10 ~$61.46 10.57 46.09 84.60 N/A 3.96 NiA Landscaping maintenance by the District covers-only arterial streets adjacent to residential developments. Commercial frontage and local street landscaping are maintained privately by associations, either business owners or homeowners. The total' amount to be assessed is about five percent less than the current fiscal year. This is primarily due to bids for landscaping maintenance coming in lower than last year's estimates.
