FINAL PARCEL M~P 88-350
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve Final Parcel Map
88-350, as recommended by the Planning Commission, by adopting
Resolution No. 89-180.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
At their regular meeting on January 9, 1989, the Planning
Commission adopted Resolution No. 2548 recommending City Council
approval of Tentative Parcel Map 88-350. The City Council
subsequently approved Tentative Parcel Map 88-350 on January 16,
1989.
The applicant is now requesting permission to finalize the subject
parcel map as all conditions of approval have been reviewed and
released by the Community Development and Public Works Departments.
At their regular meeting on November 27, 1989, the Planning
Commission adopted Resolution No. 2707, recommending to the City
Council approval of Final Parcel Map 88-350 (copy attached).
The Laurelwood HOA currently maintains a recreational vehicle (RV)
parking lot located along their northerly property line,
immediately south of the I-5 Freeway, at the end of Raintree Road
(see attached Parcel Map) exclusively used by residents of
Laurelwood. As a result of right-of-way dedication requirements
for the I-5 widening/Tustin Ranch Road interchange project, the
existing RV lot will be largely eliminated, although the spaces on
the southerly side of the alley will remain. Consequently, the
Laurelwood HOA, the Irvine Company (owners of the abandoned AT &
SF easement), and Caltrans have negotiated a proposed "land swap",
creating a new parcel that replaces the lost portion of the
existing RV parking lot. The .48 acre parcel created by Parcel Map
88-350 would be used for the new RV parking lot.

CONCLUSION
The Community Development, Public Works Departments and Planning
Commission have reviewed the proposed Final Parcel Map for
conformance with the conditions of approval contained in Exhibit
A of Resolution No. 2548, and have.determined that all conditions
have been met. Appropriately, the Planning Commission has
recommended that the City Council approve Final Parcel Map 88-350.
