M~ by Mayor Doney Present:Doney, Sheridan, Humeston, Mack, Klingelhofer. Absent:None City Attorney Rourke, absent. City Engineer .Carlsen, present. Planning Advisor Remland, absent. Hearing On Re-assessment in "Tustin City Sewer District No. 1." HEARING OPENS The City Clerk advised the Council that this ON SEWER is the time and place fixed, pursuant to statue ASSESSMENT and notice given, for the hearing in the matter WORK & of. the assessment for the work and improvement IMPROVEMENT consisting of the construction of sariitary CONSTRUCTION sewers and all appurtenances and appurtenant RES. 621 work in "TUSTIN CITY SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT N0. l" in said City of Tustin, as contemplated by Resolution of¢ IntentiOn No. 615, adopted by the City Council of said City on August 20, 1962, as modified by Resolution No. 621, adopted by said City Council on October 29, 1962. AFFIDAVITS The City Clerk also infOrmed the said City Council that affidavits of the mailing, posting OF MAILING and publication of the Notice of Filing Assess- & POSTING merit were on file in her office, and that :--. 0N FILE sixteen (16) written appeals or objections had been filed in her office prior to the day set for the hearing by: Mrs. J. The Mayor then asked if there were any interested persons present desiring to be heard in the above mentioned matter. The following persons then addressed the Council: L. Schulman A. Charlton B. All persons interested having been given full 'opportunity to shew cause why said assessment should not be confirmed and all objections presented having been heard and fully considered, it was thereupon moved by Councilman Mack that OBJECTIONS all objections, appeals and protests, OVER_RULED both.oral and written, be overruled and denied. Said motion was seconded by Councilman Humeston and carried by the following roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Mack, Humeston, Sheridan, Klingelhofer. Noes: Councilmen: Doney Absent: Councilmen: None A resolution to be numbered RESOLUTION NO. 666, entitledas follows: ~A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CORRECTING AND MODIFYING THE ASSESSMENT AND DIAGRAM MADE AND FILED BY THE ENGINEER OF WORK ON THE 24th DAY OF JUNE , 1963,1 TO COVER THE SUMS DUE FOR THE RES. 621 WORK AND IMPROVEMENT CONSISTING OF THE CONSTRUCT_ DIRECTING ION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS AND APPUR. ENG.TO TENANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN 'TUSTIN CITY AMEND & SEWER 'ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1,' AS CONTEM_ MODIFY PLATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 615, SAID ASMODIFIED BY RESOLUTION NO. 621, AND ORDER. ASSESSMENT ING AND DIRECTING THE ENGINEER OF WORK TO AMEND AND MODIFY THE SAID ASSESSMENT AND D!AGHAM ON THE FACE THEREOF IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH," was thereupon presented to the City Council for its consideration, after which it was moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by ADOPTION Councilman Klingelhofer that said RESOLUTION OF RES. NO. 666 be adopted, and the same was there - 666 upon adopted by the following rollcall vote: AXes: CounQilmen: Doney, Sheridan, Mack, Klingelhofer, Humeston. Noes: CounCilmen: None Absent: Councilmen: None The hearing upon said assessment was thereupon recessed for ten minutes to permit the Engineer of Work to make the corrections and modifica- tions in the assessment and diagram as directed by said Resolution No. 666. The Engineer of Work thereafter returned the assessment and diagram as corrected and modified under the order and direction of the City Council as set forth in said Resolution No. 666 of said Council, and the said City Council now being satisfied with the correctness of the assess- ment and diagram, as corrected and modified by their instructions, it was moved by Counci~ man Klingelhofer ~hay said assessment and diagram, as corrected and modified, together with the proceedings, be confirmed and approved and that the Superintendent of Streets shall forthwith attach a warranu to said assessment bearing the date of this order of the City Council, which motion was seconded by Councilman Sheridan and carried by the following roll call voue: AYES: Councilmen: Doney, Sheridan, Humeston, Mack, Klingelhofer. NOES: Councilmen: None. ABSENT: Councilmen: None Hearing on Tustin City Sewer Assessment District No. l~being concluded, a five minute recess was called. Meeting reconvened. Moved by Humeaton, seconded by Mack that contract be awarded to Industrial Contract- BID OF ing Co. of Stanton at a bid of $14,671.00. $14,671.00 Carried by roll call, all councilmen voting Aye. Moved by Sheridan,~ seconded by Mack that Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to EXECUTION execute contract with Industrial Con- OF CONTRACT tracting Co. and that clerk return bonds ~o other bidders. Carried. Moved by Humeston, seconded by Sheridan PURCHASE that Street Superintendent be authorized OF WEED to purchase a weed sprayer at a delivered SPRAYER price not to exceed $7~0.00. Carried. Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Mack that PURCHASE Police Department be authorized to purchase OF RADAR a mobile radar unit at a cost not to exceed UNIT $900.00. Carried. PURCHASE Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Klingelhofer OF BLUE- that City Engineer be authorized to RAY MACHINE purchase a Blue Ray Machine at a cost not to exceed $500.00. Carri. ed. Moved by Sheridan, seconded by Humeston APP'T OF that Melvin Hell be appointed acting Police M. HEIL Sergeant at Sergeant's pay, Step I of P. D. $500.00 per month to June l, 1964, as recommended by Police Commissioner. Carried. Mayor directed that appointment of M. Hell be.effective as of July 16, 1963.
