AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 86-2
STORM DRAIN FACILITY FO6BO1 AND LINES F, G AND J
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council award a contract to Forster
construction in the amount of $1,784,860.00 for the above referenced project.
BACKGROUND
Bids were opened November 28, 1989 and fourteen bids were received as follows'

The low bid by Forster Construction is 24.7% below the engineer's estimate of
$2,371,600.00.
This project provides for the installation of Assessment District No. 86-2
Storm Drain Facility F06B01 and Lines F, G and J. Facility F06B01 commences at
the existing easterly inlet of the retarding basin and extends northerly along
Pioneer Road to Jamboree Road. Line "F" is located within Patriot Way between
Pioneer Road and Jamboree Road. Lines "G" and "J" are located within easements
between Pioneer Road and Jamboree Road both northerly and southerly,
respectively, of Patriot Way. This storm drain work is located within Tract No.
13627 of the Tustin Ranch area.

Funding for this project will be provided by Assessment District No. 86-2
monies and will have no impact on the City's general fund account.
