ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - KITCHEN EQUIPMENT TUSTIN AREA SENIOR
RECOMMENDATION:

Thac the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of August 1,
attached specifications for the purchase of kitchen equipment
Senior Center and authorize staff to advertise for bids.
1988, anprove t'he
for the lustin Area
BACKGROUND:
The kitchen equipment for the Senior Center was not included in the construction
contract. This was done to save the City a substantial amount of money,
approximately $8,000 to $12,000, by avoiding the fee paid to the general contractor
to act as the intermediator.
Money for 'the purchase of the equipment was appropriated at the time the
construction contract was awarded to Construction Architects, Incorporated.
Installation of the equipment was included in the construction contract and will be
done by Construction Architects.
