(Roll Call Vote) BACKGROUND' Ordinance No. 1011 had first reading by title only and introduction at the August 1., 1988, City Council meeting. 10 11 12 15 14 15 i? 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 ORDINANCE NO. 1011 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE RELATIVE TO MINUTE'S OF CLOSED SESSIONS OF THE CITY COUNCIL. The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby ordain that Section 1306 be added to Chapter 3 of the Tustin City Code to read as follows: 1306. Minutes of Closed Sessions of the City Council. (a) The City Attorney is directed to attend each closed session of the City Council and keep and enter into a minute book a written record of topics discussed and decisions made at the meeting and to cause a tape recording to be made of each closed session. The minute book shall be maintained as a permanent record in a minute book especially established for that purpose. The minutes and tape recordings shall be sealed and permanently retained by the City Attorney and shall be available only to members of the City Council at any subsequent closed session of the City Council or, if a violation of the Ralph M. Brown Act, Government Code Sections 54950-54961, is alleged to have occurred at a closed session, to a court of general jurisdiction of the County of Orange. The written minutes and recordings shall not be public records subject to inspection pursuant to California Public Records Act (Chapter 3.5, Section 6250 et seq. of Division 7 of Title 1) and shall be kept confidential. (b) A copy of .the written minutes of closed sessions shall be presented to the City Council at the next following closed session for approval of the Council as written or as corrected by the Council. (c) No person attending a closed session of the City Council is authorized to disclose the contents, matters discussed or information received in a closed session or set forth in the written minutes or tape recordings of such meetings and all such persons are directed to maintain the confidentiality of such information and materials in accordance with the provisions and intent of the Brown Act. 10 11 12 15 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 26 PASSSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, held on the day of , 1986.
