January 21, 1963
Meeting called to o~der at 7: 30 by Mayor Doney.
Present: Doney, Sheridan, Humeston, Mack, Klingelhofer

Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Klingelhofer
that Minutes of January 7th meeting be approved as corrected
and January 15th Special Meeting approved as mailed and received.
Carried.
Safety Mayor Doney appointed Mr. Humeston, Chief Sissel and Mr.
Measures Wheelock a committee of three to present written recomme~-.
dations and costs relative: to Safety Measures for protection
of school children on certain streets.
Appt. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Mack
D. Brown that recommendations of the Parks & Recreation Conkmission ~
for the appointment of Mr. Donald Brown to' said commission
be ratified. Motion carried. ' '
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by CounciLman Klingelhofer
Dance permit that Dance Permit for Signal Cafe be granted subject to the
Signal Cafe approval of Fire Chief and Police Chief. Motion carried.
~orrespondence for membership to the Municipal Finance
Officers Association ordered received and filed.
Aunger Moved by Councilman Mack, second'ed by Councilman Humeston that
extension the 30 day extension to and including February 16, 1963
granted by the' Department of Building and Safety to Mr. R.
Aunger for the demolition of building at "D" and Main Streets,
Tustin, be ratii'ied. Carried.'
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman
enumeration Humes~on that the City Clerk contact the State Department of
Census Finance regarding the instigation of a population enumera-
tion count. Carried.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by CounciLman
Klingelhofer that correspondence be received and filed.
Carried.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council~mn Mack
Royal Tow that Resolution No. 635, Royal Tow Service, be read by
Res. 635 title only. Carried unanimously.
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Sheridan that
Resolution No. 635, reversing the decision of the Planning
Conemission granting a variance upon the application filed
in behalf of Royal Tow Service, be passed and adopted. Motion
carried by roll call. Ayes: Sheridan, Humeston, Mack,
Klingelhofer. Abstained: Doney.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Humeston
Minute that the Minutes of December 17th be amended by the addition
Correction of the words "by Resolution No. 634" in minute order modifying
the decision of the Planning Commission regarding Variance No.
62-123. Above wording omitted in preliminary typed copy
of Minutes. Motion carried by roll call - Ayes: Sheridan,
Hueston, Mack, Klingelhofer. Abstained: Doney.
Moved by Councilman Klingelhofer, seconded by Councilman
RMS. 637 Mack that Resolution No. 637 ratifying the decision of the
WILLIAMS Planning Commission granting the Conditional Use Permit No.
APPEAL 62.126 of ~eorge Ao Willjams for animal hospital be upheld
with the following additional stipulations being added:
1.The complete enclosure of all business operations
within an enclosed building.
2. The building being adequately soundproofed and air-
conditioned so that there will be no emission of odor
or noise that would be detremental to adjacent properties.
3. The operation of said facility to be restricted to house-
hold pets.
4. The exclusion of ordinanry kennel operations consisting
of boarding, training, breeding or grooming, provided
however, that breeding and grooming may be permitted
only when incidental to the principal use.
Motion carried by roll call Ayes: Sheridan, Humeston,
Mack, Klingelhofer. Abstained: Doney.
Decision on Zone Change application No. 62-111, Smyth Bres.
No. 1 deferred to meeting of February 4th.
Moved by CounciLman Humeston, seconded by Councilman
Sheridan that bills in the amount of $1t, 136.20 be paid.
Carried.

DISPATCHER that the Polic~ Department dispatcher Bonnie Yeaman be
dismissed immediately. Motion Carried.
