Present: Deney, Sheridan, Humeston, Make, Klingelhofer Absent: None City Attorney: James Rourke, presen~ City Engineer: Wheelock(assistant to) present Mayor G. ~oney announced that in deep regret, he had the unpleasant task of announcing to those present, the death of Mr. J. L. McBride, long-time engineer of the City of Tustin and in respeCt~ to his memory, the T~stin City Hall wodld be closed from 12:OONoon on Friday, December 14th. Flag to fly at half.mast from the City Hall until after the funeral. Funeral services to be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, direction of Smith & Tuthill, at Waverly Chapel, Fairhave~ Cemetery. Mayor Doney paid just tribute to Mr. McBr%de as a personof high ideals .~nd a faithful city employee who gave unselfishly many yea~s of loyal and faithful service to the City of Tustin. Moved b~ Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilm~an Humeston that Minutes of December, 3, 1962, be approved as mailed and received. Carried. Hearing opened on Red Hill Annexation to the City of Tustin, at 7:.34 P.M. Red Hill Annex Letter 'from the Santa Fe Land Improvement Company read Hearing by Deputy City Clerk stating that due to possible effect on the f~ture development of land, they requested Hearin~ on Annexation be continued for a period of sixty days. Letter from Irvine Company read by Mr. Ray Curran, in which they requested Protest Hearing be continued for another sixty days, in order that they might have opportunity to complete review on annexation. Moved by Cjuncilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Humeston that there being no protests received and no futher correspondence or comments, the Protest Hearing on "Red Hill Annexation to the City of Tustin" be continued to February ll, 1963 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, l~f West' Third Street, Tustin. Motion carried by roll call, all Councilmen voting Aye. Protest Hearing on "Newport Avenue Annexation" to the City Newport Ave. of Tustin opened at 7:41 P.M. Annex. Hearing Letter from the Santa Xe Land Improvement Company requestinga continuance of Protest Hearing on "Newport Avenue Annexation" for a period of sixty days, read by Deputy City Clerk. Letter from Irvine Company requesting that Protest Hearin~ on "Newport Avenue Annexation" be continued for another sixty days was read by Mr. Ray Curran. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Mack that there bsing no protests received and no further correspondence or connnen~s, the Protest Hearing on "Newport Avenue Annexation to the City df Tustin" be continued to February ll, 1963 at 7 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 145 West Third Street, Tustin, Ca]if. Motion carried by Roll Call, all Councilmen voting Aye. Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Primrose Humeston that Everett Primrose be made a Volunteer Vol. Fire Member of the Tust~n Fire Department, to serve at the Dept. pleasure of the Council. Motion carried by Roll Call all members voting Aye. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Mack Sewer Dist 1 .that Resolution-No 626, consenting to the annexation of Annex to the territory in "Tustin Sewer Assessment District No. l" Dist 7 Maint. to the District 7 MaintenanCe District, be read by title only. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Klingelhofer that Resolution No. 626 be passed and adopted. Motion carried by Roll Call, all Councilmen voting Aye. Trans. of Funds Moved by Councilman Klingelhofer,- seconded by Council- man Mack that Resolution No. 627, transferring funds from the Undistributed Reserve be read by title only. Motion carried unanimously. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Klingelhofer, that Resolution No. 627 be passed and adopted. Motion carried by Roll Call, all Councilmen voting Aye. Open discussion on proposed Ordinance No. 196, amending Business Lic. Ordinance 87 held. Those present with comments and Ordinance speaking in favor of said Ordinance as an interim measure were: William Moses_; Eugene Jacobson, Lou Hardy, C. Smith. Moved by Councilman Sheridan,. secondedby Councilman Mack, that Business License Ordinance No. 196, amending Ordinance No.-87, by providing a new schedule of Business fees, have first reading by title only. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Sheridan, Chairman of City Business License Committee set the date of January 9; 1963, 7:30 P.M. for a study session with delegates from the Chamber of Comnerce and any other interested businees or professional people regarding a City Business License that would be agreeable and equitable to all. Contin. of Reminder from Civil Defense Director B. Williamson Government that names must be submitted for meeting of December 17th regarding continuity of government. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman Humeston, that meeting be ~djourned to December 17, 1962, at 7:30 P.M. uty City Clerk
