CONSENT CALEN DAR NO. 7 5-4-87 Inter- Corn TO: FROM: SUBJECT: W%LLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/t~GINEERTNG DIVISION RESOLUTION ORDERING ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSSSMENTS FOR THE 1987-88 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE TUSTIN LANOSCAPE AND LIGHTING DISTRICT RECOMMENDATION: For the City Council meeting of May 4, 1987. It is recommended that the City Council adopt a resolution ordering the Engineer's Report for the levy of annual assessments for the 1987-88 fiscal year, for the Tustin Landscape and Lighting Di st ri ct. BACKGROUND: In accordance with City Council direction on March 16, 1987, staff secured a proposal from BSI Consultant.s, Inc. for adding landscape maintenance in East Tustin. They will perform those added services for a fee of $2,500 under the Professional Services Agreement approved by City Council also on March 16. The resolution ordering the Engineer's Report is a routine procedure each year and initiates the proceedings leading to confirmation of the annual levy of assessments for lighting and landscape maintenance for the District. Wall for~// Engineering Ser~dces Manager BL'REW'jm 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 87-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING PREPARATION OF AN ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSESS- MENTS FOR THE 1987-88 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE TUSTIN LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING DISTRICT WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tustin to levy annual assessments for the 1987-88 fiscal year for the Tustin Landscape and Lighting District; and WHEREAS, substantial changes in existing improvements have occurred by reason of new parcels to be annexed, new landscaped areas and new street lighting facilities to be maintained by said District; and WHEREAS, BSI Consultants, Inc. are under contract to provide professional engineering servcies in connection with said District under the direction of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare and file, through BSI Consultants, Inc., the Engineer's Report for the levy of annual assessments for the 1987-88 fiscal year for the Tustin Landscape and Lighting District.
