Mr. L. J. Leroy of the Santa Fe spoke pro- testing change of zone to C-2, drive-in MR. LE ROY OF SANTA theatre and any residential use in this FE PROTESTEST area, stating the Santa Fe was in favor of M Zoning along the tracks. Mr. George Bliss, Mr. J. W. Alexander, OTHER PROTESTS Mr. Ted Bolte of Styleline Homes and Mr. A. Willjams all spoke protesting the use of the land for a drive-in theatre. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilmsm Mack that said exhibits be received and filed. Motion carried. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by DANCE PERMIT Councilman Mack that request of John Crecion GRANTED TO for a Dance Permit for 'Ounner's Ranch Rouse~ "GUNNER RANCH 155 S. D Street St. be referred to the Fire HOUSE" Chief and Police Chief for checking and Permit be granted subject to their approval. Motion carried. Jacobson meet with the Civic Center Committee consisting of Mr. Humeaton, Mr. Mack and Mr. Sheridan to further discuss the renting of Tastee- Freez building when available. Motion carrie~. Motion carried. Mr. Ron Jenson requested something be done ALLEY BEHIND to repair alley behind Lanai Apartments LANAI APTS and running parallel to Laguna Road from TO BE CHECKED Newport to Orange Avenue. Motion carried unanimously. ADOPTION OF Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by RESOLUTION Councilman Humeaton that Resolution 5~4 be NO. 594 passed and adopted. APPOINTMENT OF Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- CITY CLERK AS: man Doney that Resolution #595 appointing the City PERSONNEL ADM., Clerk as Personnel Administrator at $100.00 per PLAN. COM. SEC., month, Planning Commission Secretsr at $150.00 AND PURCHASE per month, and PUrchasing Agent at ~!00.60 per AGENT-SEE month, all effective April l, 1962, be passed ~ SALARIES TO and adopted. Said Resolution to supersede all ~ THE RIGHT other appointments, said Resolution to be drawn ~- up by the City Attorney. Carnes also requested that the Council look into the possibility of annexing his property at Prospect and 17th Street. Mayor Kidd offered to meet with Mr. Carnes and contact other property owners in the area. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilmam Mack that meeting be ad- journed.
