SUSJEGT: RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATION FOR NORTHEAST CORNER OF RED HILL
AVENUE AND WALNUT AVENUE, AHFP NO. 1199
·
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the right-of-way
certification for this project and authorize the Mayor to sign.
BACKGROUND:
Half the cost of eligible items for this project will be covered by an
Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program (AHFP). One of the
procedural steps required by the AHFP is submittal of a right-of-way
certification. This document certifies to Orange County that the
necessary right-of-way has been acquired by the City.
·
The escrow with the Nisson family has closed and the title to the
property needed for widening the corner is now vested in the City of
Tustin. The Nissons will remove and reface a portion of the house prior
to the street widening construction which we expect to start early next
summer.
