HomeMy WebLinkAboutConsent Calendar # 6 6-01-87CONSENT CALEN DAR TO: FROM: SUBJECT: WILLIA~ HUSTON, CITY MANAGER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARll4ENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION HEARING DATE FOR LEVY OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS AND ANNEXATION OF ADDITIONAL TERRITORY FOR THE 1987-88 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE TUSTIN LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING DISTRICT RECOMMENDATION: For the City Council meeting of June 1, 1987. It is recommended that the City Council adopt a resolution amending Resolution No. 87-58 to set the hearing date for June 15, 1987. BACKGROUND' On May 18, Resolution No, 87-58 was adopted setting the hearing date for June 1. We were unable to get the notice published soon enough to meet the ten day advance requirement. Scheduling the hearing for June 15 instead of June I will allow the legal requirement for publication to be satisfied. WolfoF~' ' Engineering Services Manager 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 87-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87-58(LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING DISTRICT HEARING DATE) WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 87-58 on ~lay 18, 1987, setting the date of June 1, 1987 for the protest hearing concerning annexation of additional territory and the levy of annual assessments for the Tustin Landscape and Lighting District; and WHEREAS, Section 22553 of the Streets and Highways Code requires )ublication to be completed at least ten days prior to the hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby 'esolve to amend SECTION 5 of said Resolution No. 87-58 to read as follows' SECTION 5: Notice is hereby given that Monday, June 15, 1987, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California, 92680 are hereby fixed as the time and place where all interested persons may appear before the City Council and be heard concerning the annexation of additional territory to the existing district and the annual levy of assessments of the District, the extent of the District, the services to be performed and the proposed assessment and all other matters relating thereto. Protests must be in writing and must be filed with the City Clerk prior to the conclusion of the hearing. Any such protest shall state all grounds of the objection and if filed by the property owner, shall contain a description sufficient to identify the property. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin City Council held on the 1st day of June, 1987. Mayor ATTEST. City Clerk
