MOD'S 01-18-88 '-,:~ ~'~ ~ ~! , ~ No~E~ELOPMENT AGENCY DATE: , 1988 ~ JANUARY 12 -]'~'~ ~ECT: WILLIAM HUSTON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION INTERIM BUILDING MODIFICATIONS - CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX RECOMMENDATION: Request the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency, at their regular meeting of January 18, 1988, adopt. Resolution No. RDA 88-1 approving the appropriation of funding from the Agency for the interim building modifications within the Civic Center Complex; and, approve a supplemental appropriation for this project of $57,000. BACKGROUND: The Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency has authorized $124,400 for various improvements in the Civic Center Complex ($81,400 for building modifications and $43,00 for landscaping) in the 1987-88 fiscal budget. After receiving bids for the various items approved in the budget, it has been determined that an additional $57,000 will be needed to complete the approved project. A subsequent staff report delineates each of the items in the project with associated costs. RDA 88-1 A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE INTERIM BUILDING MODIFICATIONS FOR THE CIVIC CENTER GOMPLEX AND DETERMINING THAT THE PROJECT IS A BENEFIT TO THE TOWN CENTER PROJECT AREA AND THERE ARE NO OTHER REASONABLE MEANS OF FINANCING THE PROJECT WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan for the Town Center Project Area, as amended, provides for the acquisition and installation or construction of certain facilities; and, WHEREAS, it is proposed that the Civic Center Complex modifications be acquired or constructed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Tustin Commumity Redevelopment Agency that: lo Acquisition or construction of the interim building modifications for the Civic Center Complex is hereby determined to be a benefit to the Town Center Project Area or the immediate neighborhood in which the project is located. , There are no other reasonable means of financing the facility described in section 1 which are available to the City of Tustin PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency held on the 18th day of January, 1988.
