PICKWICK NANOR, GODFATHER'S BAR NOISE COMPLAINT
In the Council meeting of April 18, 1988, Mr. Joseph Neglia spoke
regarding a problem of noise through the back door of the
Godfather's Bar on First Street. This noise was disturbing to the
residents of Pickwick Manor Apartments on Second Street. The
Mayor refered this matter to the police department.
We have contacted Mr. Neglia and the management of the Godfather's
Bar. The managers of the Godfather's were most cooperative when
the problem was explained to them. They have agreed to close the
back door and ensure that it remains closed, to be used only as an
emergency exit. They will also take steps to ensure that the
patrons do not mill around in the alley during the late evening
hours.
Since this initial contact on April 21, we have maintained a close
patrol watch on the establishment. We have observed that they are
complying with their agreement to keep the back door closed.
Mr. Neglia was recontacted and expressed satisfaction with the
arrangements made.
We will continue to monitor this situation.
