HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 5 CONST OF WALL 05-16-88 ENJA DATE: MAY lOg 1988 CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 5 5-16-88 Inter- Corn TO: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION SUBJECT: GRANT OF EASEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WALL ADJACENT TO CITY PARK AT EL CAMINO REAL AND PARKCENTER DRIVE RECOMMENDATION: That the city Council authorize granting an easement to the Tustin Ranch Sycamore Glen Homeowners Association and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the easement deed. BACKGROUND: The Donald Bren Company is developing Tract No. 12732 (Sycamore Glen) consisting of 248 condominium units. Through negotiations with the City, a masonry block wall design has been agreed upon for the boundary between the tract and the city park at E1 Camino Real and Parkcenter Drive. The block wall will be located on the tract side of the common property line, but the footings and pilasters will encroach about 13" into the park property. The recommended grant of easement will allow the encroachment along with the right of ingress and egress for wall maintenance purposes. The City benefitsby getting a wall along the park boundary at no cost.
