1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 8:33 p.m. by Chairman Edgar in the City
Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 1, 1987, REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Kelly, seconded by Hoesterey, to approve Minutes of the
June 1, 1987, Regular Meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS - MAY, 1987
It was moved b~ Edgar, seconded by Hoesterey, to approve Demands in the
amount of $554,918,73 for the month of May, 1987, as recommended by the
Finance Department. Carried 5-0. 60
5. POLICE D(~PARTMENT CO)~4UNICATIONS CENTER - RESOLUT.ION NO. RDA 87-4
Subject project was approved during Fiscal Year 1985-86 and subsequently
carried over to 1986-87. This is a housekeeping item to allow expenditure
of Agency funds during current fiscal year.
As recommended in the inter-com dated June 9, 1987, prepared by the
Finance Department, it was moved by Hoesterey, seconded by Kennedy, to
adopt the following:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 87-4 - A RESOLUTION OF THE TUSTIN REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE COMMUNICATION CENTER AND DETER-
MINING THAT THE PROJECT IS A BENEFIT TO THE TOWN CENTER PROJECT AREA AND
THERE ARE NOT OTHER REASONABLE MEANS OF FINANCING THE PROJECT
After a brief question-and-answer period, the motion carried 5-0.

Clearance is required of the Columbus Tustin Parksite at 14652 Prospect
Avenue, formerly occupied by James and Ida McCalla, to eliminate any
hazards.
Pursuant to the recommendation contained in the inte~-com dated June 9,
1987, prepared by the Administrative Services and Public Works Depart-
ments, it was moved by Hoesterey, s~conded by Edgar, that the Agency:
1) .Authorize staff to waive formal bid requirements due to emergency
nature of the work, specifically health hazards and potential lia-
bility;
2) Appropriate necessary Redevelopment Agency funds for the site demoli-
tion and clearing (approximately $10,000 to $15,000); and

3) Adopt the following:
RESOLUTION NO. I~)A 87-5 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THAT PUBLIC iNTEREST
AND NECESSITY DEMANDS IMMEDIATE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC MONEY TO SAFE-
GUARD LIFE AND HEALTH (14652 PROSPECT AVE.)
The motion carried 5-0.
