INFORIqATIONAL REPORT
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
For the City Council meeting of September 2, 1986.
Receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
At their August 18, 1986 meeting, the City Council requested staff to investigate
the status of undergrounding the two overhead utility poles on the westerly side
of Red Hill Avenue in the immediate vicinity northerly and southerly of the A.T. &
S.F. Railroad tracks.
DISCUSSION:
These two utility poles would not qualify as an undergrounding project under the
provisions of the Edison Company's Rule 20A. However, representatives of the
Edison Co. indicated that the Company is proceeding with the undergrounding of the
overhead facilities on these two utility poles.
It is anticipated that work on the undergrounding project will commence on or
about October 1, 1986.
