HomeMy WebLinkAboutNB 2 PUB FACLTY MODS 10-22-86-- NEW BUSINESS t NO. 2 TO: FROM: SUBJECT: W I L L~H~Ty MANAGER F I NAN(~I~IEPi~Rll4E NT MISCELLANEOUS PUBLIC FACILITY MODIFICATIONS R ECO~vlENDAT ION Authorize the modification of miscellaneous public facilities for handicapped access as detailed in the text of this report and appropriate $10,000 from the unappropriated reserves of the Revenue Sharing fund for their completion. DISCUSSION At a regular meeting on October 10, 1984 the City Council received a report titled Revenue Sharing Self Evaulation. The evaluation and implementation of mitigating actions was required by the Office of Revenue Sharing if we were to continue receiving allocations for entitlement periods 16 & 17. We have included a majority of the items in the 86/87 Capital Improvement Program, but several of the items were omitted. The following details the needed improvements and the estimated cost: 1. Modify restrooms at Centennial Park 2. Modify restrooms at 235 E. Main St. {Water Department Office) 3. Access ramps to Magnolia Park tennis courts 4. Designated handicapped parking at 235 E.
