Authorize the modification of miscellaneous public facilities for handicapped
access as detailed in the text of this report and appropriate $10,000 from the
unappropriated reserves of the Revenue Sharing fund for their completion.
DISCUSSION
At a regular meeting on October 10, 1984 the City Council received a report
titled Revenue Sharing Self Evaulation. The evaluation and implementation of
mitigating actions was required by the Office of Revenue Sharing if we were to
continue receiving allocations for entitlement periods 16 & 17. We have
included a majority of the items in the 86/87 Capital Improvement Program, but
several of the items were omitted. The following details the needed
improvements and the estimated cost:
1. Modify restrooms at Centennial Park
2. Modify restrooms at 235 E. Main St.
{Water Department Office)
3. Access ramps to Magnolia Park tennis
courts
4. Designated handicapped parking at
235 E. Main St. and Centennial Park
