HUSTON, CITY MANAGER '' F~OM: RO~ULT, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE $~JECT: DECL]~RATION AS SURPLUS, A PITNEY BOWES SCALE & POSTAGE ~ MACHINE AND A BASIC FOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM j RECOMMENDATION: In accordance with Section 1625 of Ordinance 871 as it applies to purchasing procedures of the City of Tustin, the City Council should declare one Pitney Bowes Postage Machine, Model %5600 and one Basic Four'Computer System surplus and authorize the Finance Director to dispose of same at the highest return to the City. DISCUSSION: The items described above were acquired when the City purchased the Tustin Water Works in 1980. The postge machine is approximately ten years old and has an estimated present value of $200. The computer system is-approximately eight years old and has an estimated present value of $1,000. We will attempt to sell both items for the highest price possible. RAN:ls
