AUll~ORITJ~TION FOR TREE REMOVALS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at ~heir regular meeting of December 15, 1986, to
authorize tree removals at the following locations: 17571Brent Lane; 2001 Fallen
Leaf; 13391 Diamond Head; 14791 Hillsboro; 14572 Danborough; 14592 Acacia; 17442
Village Drive; 17491 Village Drive; 14911 Bridgeport; 14722 Hillsboro' and,
13672 Farmington***.
BACKGROUND:
Over the past several weeks, the City has received requests to have City trees
removed in front of their property. Each request has been field checked and the
neighbors surveyed by mailed questionnaires. The result of the questionnaire is
as follows:

Staff's
field investigation determined that the trees at the above addresses,
except 13672 Farmington, should be removed due to roots damaging City sidewalks
and private property. Staff feels the tree can be saved, but the City will need
to prune the roots for the resident.
If Council authorizes these trees to be removed, once they are removeU a new tree,
aesthetic to the neighborhood, will be planted.
