HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: C01~UNITY DEYELOPHENT DEPARTtlENT SUBJECT: LIEN FOR IJORK DONE AT 17592 AIRAGANSET REC01~ENDED ACTION: Motion to set a heartng on the subject matter for the City Council meet'tng of September 21, 1987. BACKGROUND: The City Council initiated a public nuisance proceeding back in December of 1985 for the property located at 17592 Amaganset, 'adopting Resolution No. 85-116. The owner of the subject property was again issued a supplemental nottce to abate all substandard conditions on the property tn July, 1987. Oue to the failure of the property owner to obey the Nottce and Order, the Building Official, tn conjunction with the Public Norks Department, ordered the work to be accomplished. Per the direction of the Butldtng Offtctal the City performed all needed work. Pursuant to the Untform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, the cost of such work may be made a spectal assessment agatnst the property tnvolved or made a personal obligation of the property owner. A report spectflytng the work completed, ttemized and total cost of the work, the description of the real property upon which the building was located and the name and address on the record owner of the property ts on ftle with the Ctty Clerk's offtce. The City Council must now determine and authorize a publlc hearing to receive any protests or objections to the work charges being tmposed as a personal obligation on the property owner or an assessment agatnst the property involved. Pursuant to the'Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings - 1979 Edition, Chapter 9, this report is an accurate account of expenditures ~or all" work and materials performed at 17592 Amaganset, City of Tusttn, AP~ 461-0-33-01. All work performed was as follows: Yard cleanup, mewing of lawns, schrub trimming, tree remeval and general yard pick up of abandoned debris. Security of property, window replacement, boarding up of property, fence repair, exterior painting, pouring of concrete driveway. Costs. Public Works: i - maintenance worker 9 $21.00 hr.
