PROSPECT ME#UE AN#EXATIOII NO. 145
RECOI~qENDATION:
Adoption of Resolution No. 87-109 confirming the application of the Master
Property Tax Transfer Agreement to the proposed Prospect Avenue Annexation No.
145.
PRO~ECT ANALYSIS:
Fhe City Council is considering a petition filed by County residents to adopt a
resolution of application for the inhabited island annexation area known as
Prospect Avenue Annexation No. 145.
Section 99 (d) of*the Revenue and Taxation Code requires the City and County to
approve the exchange of property tax revenue prior to consideration of the
application by the Local Agency Formation Commission.

3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE APPLICATION OF THE MASTER
4 PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT TO THE PROPOSED PROSPECT
AVENUE ANNEXATION NO. 145.

WHEREAS, a MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY
0 OF ORANGE AND THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO PROVIDE FOR PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE IN
AREAS ANNEXED BY THE CITY has been executed by the Board of Supervisors of
? Orange County and the 'City Council of the City of Tustin. Effective
November 18, 1980, the agreement provides for division of property taxes
8 pursuant to Section 99 (d) of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of
California; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of Tustin has proposed the "island"
10 annexation 'of the inhabited and developed area known as Prospect Avenue
Annexation No. 145.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
]2 Tustin that the MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY
OF ORANGE ANO THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO PROVIDE FOR PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE IN
13 AREAS ANNEXEO BY THE CITY providing for the allocation of property tax
revenues, as approved by the Board of Supervisors and the City Council and
]4 effective November 18, 1980, shall be applicable to the territory within
the proposed Prospect Avenue Annexation No. 145 to the City of Tustln for
]5 the annexation of 16.49 acres as substantially developed property.
]6 PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Tustin City Council
held on the __day of , 1987.
