DATE: OCTOBER 23, 1985 CONSENT CALENDAR NO. 5 11-4-85 Inter- Com TO: FROM: SUBJECT: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER PARCEL MAP NO. 84-1030 - ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND RELEASE OF TRUST DEPOSITS RECOMMENDATION: That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of November 4, 1985, accept all public improvements as related to Parcel Map No. 84-1030 and authorize the release of trust deposits in the following amounts: ° $9,500.00 to insure faithful performance of the public improvements. o $4,750.00 to insure payment to all persons furnishing labor and materials for the public improvements. BACKGROUND: As a condition of approval of Parcel Map No. 84-1030 and a requirement of the Subdivision Map Act, the subdivider/developer of said map was required to either post surety bonds or trust deposits to insure that all public improvements related to the subdivision would be completed. The subdivision/development within Parcel Map No. 84-1030 is located at 1352 Irvine Blvd. just westerly of Red Hill Avenue. DISCUSSION: The developer, Corniche Development Corporation, has completed all public improvements to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. It is recommended that these public improvements be accepted and that staff be authorized to release the following trust deposits to the Corniche Development Corporation: 1. Faithful Performance Trust Deposit ............. $9,500.00 2. Labor and Materials Trust Deposit .............. $4,750.00 OCTOBER 23, 1985 PAGE 2 The third trust deposit in the amount of $950.00 for the guarantee and warranty of the work improvement must be retained for a period of one (1) year after the acceptance of said public improvements by the City.
