ESTABLISHING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO CHANGE THE STREET NAME
FROM LAGUNA ROAD BETWEEN 950 + FEET EASTERLY OF RED HILL AVENUE AND
BRYAN AVENUE TO EL CAMINO REA~'- FILE #2571
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of November 4, 1985, to
adopt the Resolution of Intention to conduct a public hearing to determine whether
or not to change the designation of Laguna Road between 950 + feet easterly of Red
Hill Avenue and Bryan Avenue to El Camino Real; and, set a p~blic hearing date for
same on December 2, 1985.
BACKGROUND:
In June, the Tustin City'Council, after a public hearing, authorized the street
name change of Laguna Road between Newport Avenue and Myford Road to E1 Camino
Real for the incorporated areas of Tustin. This name change was intended to
maintain continuity of street naming within the City.
The recent annexation from the County to Tustin of the aforementioned area
necessitates a public hearing to change the street name from Laguna Road to E1
Camino Real in order to continue continuity of street naming within Tustin.
If the Council desires this street name change, staff will perform the legal
requirement for notification of a public hearing for December 2, 1985.
