INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES
(ROSELEAF AVENUE, PACIFIC STREET, MIMOSA LANE)
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of January 6, 1986, to
authorize the installation of no parking signs for street sweeping purposes. The
signs would restrict on-street parking from 6:00 a.m. to noon on Fridays for the
following:
Roseleaf Avenue between Yorba Street and Mimosa Lane
Pacific Street northerly of Roseleaf Avenue
Mimosa Lane between Vinewood and northerly of Ro~eleaf Avenue
BACKGROUND:
Staff received a request from a resident on Roseleaf Avenue to install no parking
signs for street sweeping purposes on Roseleaf Avenue, Pacific Street, Mimosa Lane
and Vinewood Avenue.
On October 18, 1984, letter questionnaires were mailed to the forty four effected
residents to ascertain their desire regarding the installation of the signs.
Following is the result of the questionnaire survey:

This recommendation was originally presented to Council on November 19,1984 at
which time the Council continued the item instructing staff to investigate a
proposed alternative method for the street sweeping operation. The proposed
alternative method was deemed to be economically infeasible at this time.
Since the questionnaire responses indicate that the effected residents of Roseleaf
Avenue, Pacific Street and Mimosa Lane desire the installation of no parking signs
for street sweeping purposes, staff is recommending the installation. Since the
questionnaire responses from the effected residents on Vinewood rendered no
majority as to whether or not the sign~ should be installed, staff is recommending
the no parking signs not be installed on Vinewood.
