INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES
(SAN JUAN STREET, MYRTLE AVENUE, MITCHELL AVENUE)
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of January 6, 1986, to
authorize the installation of no parking signs for street sweeping purposes as
follows:
15962 and 16002 Myrtle Avenue 6:00 a.m. to noon on Monday
1777 Mitchell Avenue 6:00 a.m. to noon on Monday
Northerly side of San Juan Street between Red Hill Avenue and 620 ~ feet
easterly 6:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday
BACKGROUND:
Staff received requests' from three separate condominium/apartment developments for
restricted parking during street sweeping hours in November of 1984. The item was
agendized for the City Council meeting of November 19, 1984. At that meeting
Council continued this item directing staff to investigate a proposed alternative
method for the street sweeping operation. The proposed alternatives have been
deemed economically infeasible at this time. Therefore, staff recommends the no
parking signs be installed as requested.
