HomeMy WebLinkAboutNB 2 NO PKG SIGNS 01-06-86 ~ ~W BUSINESS E /-/,- 1+86 DATE: DECEMBER 26, 1985 Inter-Com TO: THRU: FROM: SUBJECT: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER MONDA BUCKLEY, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES (SAN JUAN STREET, MYRTLE AVENUE, MITCHELL AVENUE) RECOMMENDATION: Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of January 6, 1986, to authorize the installation of no parking signs for street sweeping purposes as follows: 15962 and 16002 Myrtle Avenue 6:00 a.m. to noon on Monday 1777 Mitchell Avenue 6:00 a.m. to noon on Monday Northerly side of San Juan Street between Red Hill Avenue and 620 ~ feet easterly 6:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday BACKGROUND: Staff received requests' from three separate condominium/apartment developments for restricted parking during street sweeping hours in November of 1984. The item was agendized for the City Council meeting of November 19, 1984. At that meeting Council continued this item directing staff to investigate a proposed alternative method for the street sweeping operation. The proposed alternatives have been deemed economically infeasible at this time. Therefore, staff recommends the no parking signs be installed as requested.
