SUBJECT: REMOVAL OF NO PARKING SIGNS FOR STREET SWEEPING ON BOTH SIDES OF
PASADENA AVENUE FROM 15500 PASADENA TO 15657 PASADENA - FILE #2455A
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of January 6, 1986, to
deny the request for removal of no parking signs for street sweeping purposes at
the designated area of Pasadena Street.
BACKGROUND:
A property owner from PaSadena S~reet requested the City remove the currently
installed no parking signs for street sweeping purposes on both sides of Pasadena
Street from 15500 Pasadena to 15657 Pasadena. The signs restrict on street
parking from 6:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays in this area. A questionnaire was
mailed to all affected property owners to determine their desires on this matter.
The results of the questionnaire survey was as follows.

In August of 1984 the majority of the property owners wanted the no parking signs
installed. At this time, there is no majority for either removing or leaving the
installed signs. Since there is no majority and because signing enhances the
street sweeping program, staff feels it is in the best interest of the community
to deny the request to remove the no parking signs for street sweeping.
