ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST FUND (OCUTT) PROGRAM
'RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of January 20, 1986,
pass and adopt the attached Resolution requesting the Orange County Transportation
Commission to allocate funds from the OCUTT Program for the development of Main
Street from "C" Street to Myrtle Avenue.
BACKGROUND:
Subject OCUTT Program was developed by the Orange County Transportation
Commission for distribution of interest earned off of Rapid Transit District funds
accummulated from the 1% sales tax revenues.
They are asking for a one time submittal of projects to be budgeted over the next
three years.
Staff submitted on January 3, 1986 (the deadline date), a proposed three phase
project for the reconstruction of Main Street from "C" Street to Myrtle Avenue.
The project would involve complete reconstruction of Main Street, with no widening
proposed, except that new sidewalks are not included.
The OCUTT Program is similar to the AHFP Program in that 50/50 funding is
specified.
Costs for our submittal are as tabulated below:

The attached Resolution is required as a back-up for the OCUTT submittal made on
January 3, 1986 and is due no later than January 24, 1986. The OCUTT submittal
prepared by staff for the reconstruction of Main Street is available for City
Council review.

RESOLUTION NO. 86-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE
O.C.U.T.T. PROGRAM THE RECONSTRUCTION OF MAIN STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tustin desires to improve
Main Street from "C" Street to Myrtle Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Fund has
funds available for aid to any City for improvement, construction or repair of
a street within a City, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission has devised a
program for distribution of said funds, designated as the OCUTT Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Tustin hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate
to said City from the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Fund the
amount of $87,488.00 in F.Y. 1986-87, $71,738.00 in F.Y. 1987-88 and $91,983.00
in F.Y. 1988-89 to aid said City in the improvement of Main Street from "C"
Street to Myrtle Avenue; said improvements to be in accordance with preliminary
plans submitted for subject project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Tustin
agrees that its share of the cost of said improvements will be available in
F.Y. 1986-87, F.Y. 1987-88 and F.Y. 1988-89 in accordance with project cost
estimates submitted.
