REJECT ALL BIDS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT
COMMUNICATIONS CENTER CONSTRUCTION PHASg
On December 16, 1985, the City Council passed Resolution 85-127
authorizing the Police Department to advertise for proposals to
upgrade the Police Communications Center through building
modifications.
Advertisements were published in "The Tustin News" on December
19 and 26, 1985. Bids were received from two contractors; the
bids were publicly opened and read on January 24, 1986.
The following are the firm names and their offered bids:
Seashore Interiors
17922 Sky Park Circle, Suite A
Irvine, CA 92714
$17,990.00 (Adjusted)
2. Ultimo General Contractors $17,650.00 (Adjusted)
After the opening of the bids, errors were identified in each
bid offering. The contractors submitted adjusted bids, which
are not consistent with the Tustin city bidding process.
Therefore, I recommend:
1) All bids received to date be rejected; and
2) City Council authorize advertisement for a rebidding
process on the subject construction project.
