RECO~I~ENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends that Council approve Resolution 8~-43
Amendment 86-2f.
adopting General Plan
BACKGROUND:
The subject site is one lot with multi-family dwellings. Annexation # 135, the
Laguna/East Tustin Drive County Island, incorporated the area into the City of
Tusttn. The General Plan designation is (SF) Single-family. The proposed
General Plan Amendment will make the General Plan designation consistent with
land use.
On March 10, 1986, Planning Commission considered General Plan Amendment 86-2f.
Resolution 2313 was adopted recommending to City Council that this amendment be
approved.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this General Plan Amendment is to bring General Plan and existing
land use into conformance. The change of General Plan designation will not
change the current land use on the property.
The current General Plan designation is (SF) Single-family. If approved General
Plan Amendment 86-2f will change that designation to (MF) Multi-family. Since
current land use is multi-family this change would be appropriate.
