Planning is underway to produce another high quality Fourth of July Show for
1986. This year staff is recommending that the contract be awarded to Pyro
Spectacular Fireworks Company. The proposal includes a twenty-five minute show,
a narrated musical program and a sound system. Staff has worked with this
company in the past and has been very pleased with the results.
Staff received proposals from three companies.

San Diego Fireworks
$7,850 22-24 minutes
Zambel 1 t Fi rework s

Ouality of Program
Excellent - used
for several years
prior to 1985.
Late last year and
created some safety
concerns,
Program too short
for our needs.
In light of the problems w(th San Diego Fireworks last year, which included a
late start time and an unsafe set-up, and the fact that the Zambelli proposal is
too short, staff recommends awarding the contract to Pyro Spectaculars.
