PRESENT~ Moved by Councilman,Mack, seconded by Councilman Humeston that minutes oft March 6th meeting be ap- proved as corrected. Moteion carried. BOYD Hearing o.f Vincent Boy& Variance appeal opened at VARIANCE 7:38 P.M. Those present speaking against said variance were: Mr. Yeandle Mr. W. Nickell Mr. Delmar Persinger Mr. B. Towle Mr. Boyd spoke in his own behalf. There being no further questions or discussion the hearing was declared closed at 8:10 P.M. Moved by CoUncilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Mack that the report of the Tustin Planning Commission be accepted and appeal denied. Re- solution #549 to be drawn up by City Attorney. Motion carried by roll call. Ayes: Humeston, Byrd, Mack, Sheridan; Noes: Kidd. FIRE Movea by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman DEPARTMENT Sheridan that Fire Department regulations, as REGULATIONS submitted by Chief Hilton, be approved. Motion carried. TRANSFER Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- OF FUNDS man Humeston that the City Attorney draw up a TO TYC resolution transferring $500.00 from the reserve fund to the Tustin Youth Center fund. Motion carried. FUND RAIS- Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by ING DRIVE Councilman Byrd that the Orange County Association GRANTED for Mental Health be granted permission to conduct 0C ASSOC. a Fund raising campaign in the City of Tustin. MENTAL HEALTH Motion carried. A letter from the Orange Empire Chapter - Inter- FALL OUT national Conference of Building Officials re- SHELTERS garding fall-out shelters was referred to the City Attorney. Resolution of the City of Stanton regarding Organized Crime referred to the City Attorney. Motion carried unanimously. ORDINANCE Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- No. 150 man Mack that Ordinance No. 150, "AN ORDINANCE PASSED PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF BICYCLES IN THE AND CITY OF TUSTIN, AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION ADOPTED THEREOF" be passed and adopte.d. Motion carried by roll call, all Councilmen voting Aye. DIRECTIONAL City Engineer, Mr. McBride, reported on directional SIGNS signs for the Tustin Business District and recommend- ed 24" x 36" signs of green and white at a cost of $14.98 per sign, complete with post. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- man Mack that recommendations of Mr. McBride be approved and that the City Attorney contact the County Road Department for approval of locations and types of signs and if approved the ordering and placing of said signs as recommended by the Committee. Motion carried. GAS Report on easement and vacating proceedings for STATION gas station at First and "D" Streets deferred DEFERRED until next regular meeting. ORDINANCE Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- No. 151 man Byrd that Ordinance No. 151 nAN ORDINANCE OF READING BY THE CITY OF TUSTIN, AMENDING ORDINANCES 18 & TITLE 85, PERTAINING TO THE REGULATION OF BURNING", ONLY have its first reading by title only. Motion carried unanimously. CHURCH Moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman 17th Mack that the Clerk write the County Planning STREET Commission stating that the City of Tustin has AND not had sufficient time to study UV 4719, 'to PROSPECT permit the construction of a church at the northeast corner of l?th Street and Prospect Avenue ' and therefore the City Council does not concur with the recommendations of the Tustin Planning Commission and has no recommenda- tions at this time on this application. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Sheridan that the bills be paid. Motion carried. B Kenneth G.
