(now grown) children. I am 49. My husband and I have a

I have been a licensed real estate broker since 1972. I have
a degree of Associate in Applied Science. I am a member of
the Apartment Association of Orange County, and of the Realty

Other areas of knowledge include accounting, income tax law
mainly as it applies to real estate, state laws and legal
procedures dealing with landlord-~enant law and with real
estate law. I have a knowledge of construction from framing

done with my husband.
I was active on the Tustin Bullet Train Committee, writing
letters to legislators and newspapers, and helping to organize
the various programs of effort.

enrolled at UCI, double majoring in electronic engineering and
mechanical engineering. My daughtr (19) is also enrolled at

Dear Sirs and Madam:
Please consider this my letter and request for reappointment
to the Tustin Planning Commission.
During this past year I have learned a great deal about the
City of Tustin, local ordinances and theories of expansion
specifically when discussing East Tustin.
Living close to the effected "Tustin Ranch" area, I am
personally concerned about increased traffic, noise, flooding,
and residual that we will be living with in the not too
distant future. I realize that growth is expected and that we
need to handle that growth in the most compatible way possible.
In dealing with staff, they have been very informative giving
me the support I need to feel comfortable that I have current
and sound information enabling me to make an appropriate
decision.
I feel that I can work well the the Council and Staff
enabling us to get the job done in a timely and responsible
manner.
Sincerely,~
Tustin, CA 92680

Dear Mayor Saltarelli and members o~ the council,
I would very much like to be considered for the City's Planning
Commission. I am intrigued by the challenges that face the new commission.
I have lived in Tustin most of my 37 years and in that time I have observed
its growth to a modern but still conservative city and I applaud that. I
have also observed our neighboring cities, in what I feel to be radical
growth that has contributed to deterioration of vital parts of their own
cities. As a resident, I am grateful to those who have planned our city
to date; and that through this planning process did not allow our city to
deteriorate.
My reason for wanting to be considered is this: living in and enjoying
Tustin for most of my life, I view this as a unique opportunity for me to give
something back to the city. My personal philosophy toward any project that
the commission may undertake would be this: How will this project benefit
the city and its residents? What will the environmental and fiscal impact
be on the city? Will the needs and or profits be realized by its developers?
In short, will the project produce a "win-win" situation for all parties involved.
As advisors to the council, I feel that these are questions that a commission
should be prepared to advise the council on.
I have been employed with the Irvine Unified School District for the
past 12 years, prior to that I was in private industry in the Tustin area.
I work in the Maintenance and Operations area, where I am presently the
Supervisor of Security and Safety for the District. In addition to this, I
work with our trade journeyman on their supply needs for specific projects,
including drawing up plans for them if necessary. In 1984 the District built
a new Administration Center and in this project was to be a new addition for
us at Maintenance and Operations. I served on the research and development
committee for this project, working with both the architect and our resident
inspector for the District. I am familiar with the various codes that are set
Page -2-
by the State: (eg.) Building Code, Fire Code, Plumbing, etc. This along
with ~hat I have learned in the various construction trades in the past
11 years, I feel would be beneficial to the Commission.
On my educational background, I graduated from Tustin High School in
1968. I have an Associates Degree in Business from Orange Coast College.
'Trying to promote oneself in a short letter is Jxtremely difficult, as you
can imagine, but if things do not progress any further than this letter,
I would like to thank you for giving it consideration. If you would like
to contact me, my home phone number is 838-0514 and my work phone number
is 559-1936.

Dear Mayor,
At this time, I would like to be considered for the vacant
position on the Tustin Planning Commission.
I have lived in Tustin for over 20 years, comming from Penna. in
July of 1965. We have watched Tustin grow to become a community we
can be very proud of and we enjoy living in the community.
As a resident of the downtown area, I feel I can bring another
dimension to the Planning Commission , while representing the
community as a whole. I have some recent experience in civic
activities while Vice-President of Tustin Meadows Association. While
serving on the board. I was also chairman of the Architectural
Control Committee for two (2) years and learned the necessity of
balance for the best interest of the community as a whole. I am
challenged with the prospect of the East Tustin Project, and would
bring much energy and enthusiasm to a position on the Tustin Planning
Commission.
I have attached a Personal History outline for your review.
i trust you will give me consideration and hopefully the
opportunity to serve the City of Tustin.
