SALE OF SALVAGE
R£COMM£NDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of.January 7, 1985, to
accept the sale of unusable Water Division salvage in the amount of $2,692.50.
BACKGROUND:
Water Division crews were cleaning the yard area and collected 7,180 pounds of
scrap brass consisting of: 26 canabalized meters; 16 unusable fire hydrant heads;
and miscellaneous damaged fittings, pipe endings, and valves. This "junk" was a
cumulation of several years and rendered unusable.
Three written bids were obtained from in area salvage dealers. The bids were as
follows:
A & A Metal Santa Ana $2,513.00
Liebert Industrial Santa Ana $2,620.70
Key Metals Santa Ana $2,692.50
