CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH COOPERATIVE PERSONNEL SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council to adopt Resolution 85-17.
BACKGROUND:
Administrative Services recommends that we renew the City's contract with
Cooperative Personnel Services, a division of the California State Personnel
Board. Cooperative Personnel Services provides standardized examinations
for many of the City's job classifications, such as Police Officer, Police
Sergeant, Secretary, Account Clerk, and others.
Cooperative Personnel Services requires that the attached Resolution be
approved by the City Council. This resolution will simply continue the
status quo operation. Their service has been excellent, and their
examinations are statistically valid, reliable, and objective.
