PRESENT: Kidd, Humeston, Byrd , Sheriden, Mack ABSENT : None. CITY ATTORNEY: Present CITY ENGINEER: Present Moved by ,Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman Humeston that minutes of September 6th meeting be approved as mailed. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Sheriden, seconded by Council- PERMANENT man Mack, that the appointment of Chief of Police APPOINT- Glenn V. Sisse! be made a permenent appointment. MENT OF Chief Sissel to service at the pleasure of the CHIEF City Council. Motion carried. SISSEL Moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by Council- LOAN OF man Byrd, that permission be granted to Headquarters FIRE TRUCK Fort Mac Arthur for the use of the 1934 Fire Truck during TO FT. National Fire Prevention Week, October 9-15th, 1960. MCARTHUR Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Councilman Humeston that the Muscular Dystrophy Association PERMIT of America, Orange County Chapter, be granted per- MUSCULAR mission to conduct a fund raising campaign in the DYSTROPHY City of Tustin during the month of December, 1960. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by Council- WARRANTY man Mack that Service Wattanty on Thermofax Machine ON THERMO be continued. Motion carried. FAX. Moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman Byrd, that the City Attorney draft an ordinance prohibititing ORD. alcoholic beverages in City Parks and Public PROHIBITING recreation areas. Motion carried. ALCOHOL Moved by Councilman Sheridan seconded by Councilman ORD 113 Byrd that report on Ordinanoe No. 113 be deferred DEFERRED until a more complete report can be nade. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council- man Humeston that Resolution No. 529, thanking Con 2 . , thanking RES. gressman Utt for his participation in the opening 529, to of the Tustin Youth Center, be adopted. Motion CONG. carried, all Councilmen voting Aye. UTT Moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by Councilman ARTERIAL Mack, that Resolution No. 530, a Resolution setting HIGHWAY the policy for Limitation of Access to County Arterial Highways, be adopted. Motion carried, all Council- men voting Aye. CLAIM Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman FROM Sheridan that claim of Louis Schmidt be denied and LOUIS claimant be so notified. Motion carried. SCHMIDT DENIED Mayor Kidd appointed Police Commission Humeston, 198 CHIEF SISSEL, MR. ROURKE Chief Sissel and Mr. Rourke a committee of COMM. HUMESTON three to study Uniform Traffic Ordinance TO STUDY UNI- and submit recommendations. FORM TRAFFIC ORD. Moved by Councilmen Mack, seconded by Councilman Humeston that bills be paid.
