PURCHASE OF A CLASS 7 TRUCK WI~H DUMP BED
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of February 19, 1985, to
authorize the purchase of a class 7 truck with a dump bed from Rafferty
International of Anaheim for$38,936.39.
BACKGROUND:
The Tustin City Council authorized the replacement of the exiting dump truck from
the equipment replacement fund when adopting the 1984-85 Fiscal Budget. Mr. West
and Mr. Evert reviewed the submitted bids and determined the Rafferty bid was the
only one which met the specifications. It was also determined that it was in the
best interest of the City to exercise the option to reinforce the bed floor and
sides (cost of $465.00} due to the length of time the City utilized equipment.
The estimated budget cost of replacement was $37,000.00.
Submitted bids were as follows:
Mission GMC Anaheim
Rafferty International Anaheim
Carmanita Ford Santa Fe Springs
$32,770.3~
