OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
SEPTEMBER 6, 1960
Meeting called to order by Mayor Kidd at 7:30 P. M.
Present: Kidd, Byrd, Sheridan, Mack
Absent : Humeston.
City Attorney: Present.
City Engineer: Present.
Moved by Councilman !Byrd, seconded by Councilman
Mack that minutes of August 15th & August I8th meet-
ings be approved as mailed.
ORD. PRO- City attorney Tourke directed to prepare an Ordinance
HIBITING prohibiting any Alcoholic beverages in city parks
ALCOHOL and recreation areas.
Mayor Kidd appointed Councilman Mack, Fr. McBride
TYC and Chief Sissel a committee to work out the problems
FORCE of a fence for the Tustin Youth Center in report
COMMITTEE at next regular meeting.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council-
man Mack, that RESOLUTION NO. 527 approving and
RES. 527, recommending Plan A for the extension of First St.,
PLAN A. southeasterly at right angles to Newport Avenue 1/2
mile to intersect Redhill Avenue, be adopted.
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman
CONSTITUTION Byrd that a proclamation be issued declarating the ~ ...... ~ '
WEEK, PRO- week of September 17th through the 23rd as "Constitu-
CLAMATION tion Week" and a copy of said proclamation be sent
to the Daughters of the American Revolution
per request. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilmen Sheridan, seconded by Councilman
CLAIM OF Byrd that verified claim against the City of Tustin
LOUIS by Louis Schmidt be referred to City Attorney. Motion
SCHMIDT carried.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman
ORD. 139 Mack, that ORDINANCE NO. 139 have its second reading
BE READ BY by title only. Motion carried unanimously.
TITLE
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman
Sheridan that ORDINANCE NO. 139, an Ordinance of the
ORD. 139 City of Tustin approving the annexation known and
ADOPTED designated as "Yorba Street Annexation 72" be passed
and adopted. Motlon carried by roll call, all
Councilmen voting Aye.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Councilman
RES. 528, Byrd that RESOLUTION. NO. 528, granting a Taxi Cab
TAXI PERMIT permit and establishing a Taxi Parking Zone for the
Black and Green Cab of Santa Ana be adopted. Motion
Motion carried, all Councilmen voting Aye.

ORD. 113 Councilman Mack, that report on ORDINANCE NO. 113
be tabled until the next regular meeting.
Motion carried.

FEES until next regular meeting. Motion Carried.
Moved by Councilman Sheridan, seconded by Council*
FILES man Mack, that purchasing agent be authorized to
buy two office files not to exceed $3160,00 per
file. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman
CLEANING Byrd, to have the Tustin Building and Maintenance
FLOORS Co. strip and clean floors one time at a cost of
$75.00. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman
Byrd, that a RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION be drawn
RES. up, thanking Congressman Utt for his participation
THANKING in the Dedication ceremonies of the Tustin Youth
CONG.UTT. Center, and the Presentation of the American Flag.
Motion carried, all Councilmen voting Aye.
Moved by Councilman Mack, seconded by Councilman
Byrd, that bills be paid. Motion carried.
