8U~l': AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE THREE TRUCKS
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the.Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of April 1, 1985, to
authorize the purchase of two (2) each one ton flat bed trucks and one (1) each
one ton pick-up with utility bed from Earnest Ford of Orange for a grand total of
$39,267.78.
BACKGROUND:
The Council authorized the replacement of these three trucks when adopting the
1984-85 fiscal budget. The two flat bed trucks are for the water division and the
pick-up is for the building facilities division.
Garden City Dodge was in fact low bid but did not meet the specifications with
respect to gross vehicle weight (GVW). Earnest Ford was second low bid and met
all specifications.
