BACKGROUND: The request to replace the semi-trailer was based solely on the safety factor, as the existing trailer dumps from the top posing a tipping hazard. The existing trailer was purchased as state of the art equipment in lg80 for $19,000.00. The city is now realizing a trade-in value for the equipment of $10,500.00. Council authorized the replacement of the semi-trailer when adopting the 1984-85 budget.
