AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE SEMI-TRAILER
RECOMMENDATION:
Request the.Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of April 1, 1985, to
authorize the purchase of an East Pusher semi-trailer from Nixon Egli of Santa Fe
Springs for $33,555.93.
BACKGROUND:
The request to replace the semi-trailer was based solely on the safety factor, as
the existing trailer dumps from the top posing a tipping hazard. The existing
trailer was purchased as state of the art equipment in lg80 for $19,000.00. The
city is now realizing a trade-in value for the equipment of $10,500.00. Council
authorized the replacement of the semi-trailer when adopting the 1984-85 budget.
Three bids were mailed; one bid was returned:
