TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
BOB LEDENDECKER, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY'ENGINEER
STREET IMPROVEMENTS AT NORTHWESTERLY CORNER OF NEWPORT AVENUE
AND IRVINE BOULEVARD
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency appropriate $8,500.00 for
construction of street improvements at the northwesterly corner of Newport Avenue
and Irvine Boulevard.
BACKGROUND:
This project includes the construction of missing street improvements at the
northwesterly corner of Newport Avenue and Irvine Boulevard. It will provide
ultimate curb and gutter and sidewalk to improve traffic safety and pedestrian
access at that location and to reduce city liability by reducing pedestrian
hazards, etc.
DISCUSSION:
This project was not originally included within the 1984-85 Redevelopment Agency
Capital Improvement Budget. It was added as a supplemental project when the
Agency recently purchased the abandoned Southern Pacific Railroad property.
This project will require a Redevelopment Agency budget appropriation of $8,500.00
for the 1984-85 fiscal year.
