MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
OF THE TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL,
APRIL 18, 1960
MEMBERS PRESENT: Kidd, Tadlock, Humeston, Bacon, Byrd
ABSENT : None. ~
CITY ATTORNEY : Dennis D. Hayden, present·
CITY ENGINEER : J. L. M~Bride, present.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at 7:30 P. M.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting of Apri. l 4,
1960 and the adjourned regular meeting of April 7,
1960 were approved as mailed on motion of Council-
man Humeston, seconded by Councilman Byrd and duly
carried.
Councilman Bacon moved~; seconded by Councilman
Humeston that the correspondence be received and
filed. Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council-
DEFICIENCY man Humeston that City Engineer McBride be authorized
SURVEY to file a Deficiency Survey in accordance with
Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 26, with the State
Highway Department· Motion carried.
Albert Neiblas appeared before the Council and
requested they assist him, by recommending to the
NEIBLAS Orange County Board of Supervisors that they do not
SWIM CLUB object to a swimming club being installed on property
located at the Northwest corner of Redhill and
Walnut Avenue. The council took no action on the
request.
Councilman Humeston moved, seconded by Councilman
RESOLUTION Byrd that Resolution No. ~04.. expressing appreciation
NO. 504 on behalf of the City Council of the City of Tustin
for services of Arthur O. Park, both as City Council-
man and City Clerk be adopted· Motion carried by
all councilman voting Aye.
It was moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council-
man Humeston that Resolution No. ~0~ espressing
RESOLUTION appreciation on behalf of the City Council of the
NO. 505 City of Tuston for the services of Wintford L.
Tadlock as City Councilman, be adopted. Motion
carried, all Councilman voting Aye.
On motion of Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council-
man Bacon and duly carried the bills were ordered paid.

Chief of Police Glenn V. Sissel requested Council
approval of the appointment of Melvin L. Hell as
MELVIN L. a patrolman for a probationary period of six
HEIL months, starting salary to be $390.00 per month.
APPOINT-
MENT Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman
Bacon that the above request by Chief of Police
Glenn V. $issel be approved. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, April 19,
1960 at 7:30 P. M., on motion of Councilman Bacon,
seconded by Councilman Tadlock and duly carried.
