CITY ATTORNEY : DennisD. Hayden, present. CITY ENGINEER ; J. L. MCBride, present. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kidd at 7:30 P- M. HEARING Hearing was opened for additional protests on the "SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE ANNEXATION." HEARING There being no one present desiring to speak against S. TUSTIN the annexation, the hearing was closed onlmotion CLOSED of Councilman Bacon, seconded by Councilman Humeston and duly carried. It was moved by Councilman Humeston, seconded by CERTIFICATION Councilman Byrd that the Certification by the ~ity Clerk be received and filled. Motion carried. 0RD. N0. Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman Bacon 134 that Ordinance No. 134 be read in its entirety. READ Motion carried, all Councilmsn voting Aye. Councilman Bacon moved, seconded by Councilman Humeston that Ordinance No. 134, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE ORD. NO. CITY OF TUSTIM, CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE 134 HELD ON THE 14thDAY OF JUNE, 1960, PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTED ANNEXATION OF THE 'SOUTH TUSTIN AVENUE ANNEXATION' TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN, "be adopted. Motion carried, all Councilmen voting Aye. It was moved by Councilman Rumeston, seconded by CANVASS Councilman Byrd that the following members of the BOARD Council be appointed to canvass the Absentee Ba~pts: APPT. Mayor Kidd, inspector; Councilman Byrd, Judge; and Councilmen Tadlock and Bacon as Clerks. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Byrd, seconded by Council- RESOLUTION man Tadlock that RESOLUTION N0. 503, authorizing NO. 503 certain stop signs within the city as recommended by ADOPTED ~hief of Police Sissel and City Engineer, J. L. McBride, be adopted. Motion carried, all Councilmen present voting Aye. It was moved by Councilman Tadlock, seconded by SISSEL Councilman Byrd that Police Chief Sissel be appointed STREET Street Superintendent, and that $100.00 of his SUPERINTEN~ salary be charged each month to the Street Depart- DENT ment. Motion carried. Mayor Kidd recessed the meeting for ten minutes, until 8:30 P. M. 161 The meeting was re-opened at 8:30 P. M. Councilman Byrd'moved, seconded by Councilman ASHMORE Humeston that Police Commissioner Tadlock be RELIEVED instructed to notify Patrolman E. E. Ashmore that he is relieved of his duties as Probation- ary Patrolman, effective April 8th, 1960 and he be paid for an additional two weeks, up to and including the 22nd day of April, 1960.
