RECOI¥1ENDED ACTXON:
Adoption of Resolution No. 85-50 confirming the application of the Master
Property Tax Transfer Agreement to the proposed Laguna-Tusttn East Annexation
No. 135.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council conducted an advertised public hearing on May 20, lg85 on its
intent to adopt a resolution of application for the island annexation of the
properties bounded by San Juan and the 1-5 freeway.
Section 99(d) of the Revenue and Taxation Code requires the City and County to
approve the exchange of property tax revenue prior to consideration of the
application by LAFCO.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE APPLICATION
OF THE MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT TO
THE PROPOSED LAGUNA-TUSTIN EAST ANNEXATION NO. 135
TO THE CITY OF TUSTIN
WHEREAS, a MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY
OF ORANGE AND THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO PROVIDE FOR PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE IN
AREAS ANNEXED BY THE CITY dated October 28, 1980, has been executed by the
Board of Supervisors of Orange County and the City Council of the city of
Tustin providing for division of property taxes pursuant to Section 9g(d)
of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Tusttn has proposed the annexation of
the inhabited and developed area known as Laguna-Tustin East Annexation
No. 135.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the city of
Tustin that the MASTER PROPERTY TAX TRANSFER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY
OF ORANGE AND THE CITY OF TUSTIN TO PROVIDE FOR PROPERTY TAX EXCHANGE IN
AREAS ANNEXED BY THE CITY providing for the allocation of property tax
revenues, as approved by the Board of Supervisors and the City Council and
entered into on November 18, 1980, shall be applicable to the territory
within the proposed Laguna-Tustin East Annexation No. 135 to the city of
Tustin for the annexation of ~ 59.1 acres as substantially developed
property.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting if the Tustin City Council
held on the__day of , 1985.
