CITY ATTORNEY : D~nnis D. Hay~en, absent. CITY ENGINEER : J. L. McBride, present. The meeting was called to ,order by Mayo. r Kidd at 7:30 P. M. Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman Bacon that minutes of the regular meeting of March 21st, 1960 be approved as mailed, and minutes of the adjourned meeting of March 28th, 1960 be approved as read. Motion carried. A letter from Mr. R. O. Saunders regarding requir- SAUNDERS ments for the establishment of a Trampoline Center TRAMPOLINE was referred to the C,i~yAttorney, on motion of CENTER Councilman Tadlock, seconded by Councilman Byrd and duly carried. Councilman Byrd moved, seconded by Councilman Tadlock THIRD ST. that consent be given to an agreement between the IMPROVMENT ~ City ,of. ~ustin, Harold A. Carson, Arcy L. Balmer ~and ~hat consent be given to reco~dation of same.. Motion carried. Mr. H. ~LZ Balmer~ President of Ithe Tustin Chamber TILLER of oCommerce, Ipresented~a plan of participation by DAYS the city ~with the Tustin Chamber of Commerce to share in~thelexpense of the next "Tiller Day Celebration". ; It was .moved,by Councilman Tablock, seconded by Councilman.Humeston that any financial participation -~' TILLER by.the.City of.Tustin in the expense of the DAYS "Tiller Day Celebration" ~be taken under advisement COMMITTEE and thatlalong~with the City Attorney, Mayor Kidd appoint two members of~the Council to study the matter. IMotion carried.~ MUNSON 8hief of Police Siseel notified the Council that APPT. Dale H. Hunson had been appointed patrolman, effective March 16th, 1960. On motion of Councilman HUmeaton, seconded by SALARY Councilman Tadlock and duly carried, salary for FOR Patrolman Hunson was set at $390.00 per month, MUNSON effective March 16th, 1960. Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman SALARY Byrd that the salary for. Chief of Police Glenn V. FOR Siseel be $460.00 per month, retroactive to March CHIEF let,. 1960. Motion carried. It was~ moved byeCouncilman Tadlock, seconded by SALARY Councilman Humeaton that the starting salary for a the Tustin Police Department be set SERGEANT 0 per month. Motion carried. Councilman Tadlock moved, seconded by Councilman L. ALLEC Bacon that Patrolman Lawrence Allec be promoted PROMOTION to Sergeant of the Tustin Police Department. Motion carried. Councilman Tadl'ock mo~ed, seconded by C..ouncilman ATTEBURY Byrd that the bill presented by Mrs. T. V. DAMAGES Attebury for damages to.her 1959 Buick auto be DENIED denied and the clerk instructed to so notify Mrs. Attebury. Motion carried.
